Privacy Policy
This is a convenience translation. In case of any discrepancy, the German version of these documents is legally binding.
Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we inform you in accordance with Art. 12 et seq. GDPR which data we collect, for what purpose we process it and which rights you have.

2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, or its European data centres. When the site is accessed, technically necessary connection data is processed (see server log files).
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and performant provision). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Any transfer to the USA is based on the EU standard contractual clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
3. Server log files
When visiting the website, information transmitted by your browser is recorded automatically:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- truncated IP address
4. Contacting us (form, email, phone, WhatsApp)
When you contact us we process the data you provide (name, contact details, vehicle and damage data, message content) in order to handle your enquiry.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of contract) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR where you have consented. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Note on WhatsApp: if you contact us via WhatsApp, your data is processed by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. We have no influence on this processing. Please only use WhatsApp if you agree; phone, email and the contact form are available as alternatives.
5. Preparation of appraisals
To prepare an appraisal we process vehicle, damage, owner and insurance data as well as photographs. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Data is passed on to insurers, lawyers, repair shops or residual value platforms only where this is necessary to fulfil the contract or where you have expressly instructed us to do so.
Retention: appraisals and related documents are retained in accordance with commercial and tax law retention periods (6 or 10 years, §§ 147 AO, 257 HGB).
6. Cookies and consent management
We use technically necessary cookies and comparable storage technologies to provide the basic functions of the website (e.g. language selection, storing your cookie decision). Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Optional cookies (statistics, maps/external media) are only set with your express consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can change or withdraw your selection at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
7. Map service
A map for directions is only loaded after your express consent. Before consent no connection to external map servers is established. After consent your IP address may be transmitted to the map provider.
8. Recipients and processors
We only pass on personal data to:
- our hosting provider (data processing)
- our email delivery provider for form enquiries (data processing)
- insurers, lawyers and repair shops – only on your instruction or to perform the contract
- tax advisors and authorities within the scope of statutory obligations
9. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as long as statutory retention periods apply. Enquiries without a subsequent order are deleted no later than six months after final processing.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
- complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

12. Data security
We use TLS encryption (HTTPS) for the transmission of data via this website and take appropriate technical and organisational measures pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR.
